Extremity & Spine Care
Our staff treats painful conditions involving the upper and lower extremities
and the spine. Joint or muscle pain resulting from an injury or degenerative
changes often affects an individual’s ability to tolerate the activities of
everyday life.
A specific exercise program can improve a patient’s mobility and muscular
balance. In turn functionality is restored. The restoration process can also
include the use of ultrasound technology, electrical stimulation and modalities
utilizing hot or cold stimuli.
Work Conditioning
Summit Strength provides work conditioning programs in 2 hour, half day and full
day options for individuals with physically strenuous jobs.
Sports Injury &
Sports medicine
The physical therapists of Summit Strength are able to use our nearly 10,000
square foot gym and indoor training facility to address a wide variety of
athletic rehabilitation needs. We provide ample time with each athlete in order
to ensure that he or she can seamlessly return to rigorous practice and
competition in his or her sport upon leaving Summit Strength. This process often
requires substantial time and effort, but the staff of Summit Strength takes
great pride in engaging their patients through every step of the journey to
recovery.
Strength, Conditioning and personal training
Our staff is involved in pre-screening for athletes who want to start a more
aggressive
strength training program. Often, patients who are
returning to sports will significantly benefit from transition to a more
advanced
strength and conditioning program following completion
of physical therapy.

Pediatrics and Developmental Enhancement
Our staff promotes pediatric rehabilitation by encouraging movement for all
individuals with disabilities. We work with young people with orthopedic,
neurological and sports injuries.
It’s fair to say movement is a maxim at Summit Strength. We believe that
regardless of your lifestyle, age, or any other variable, movement is crucial to
improving the quality of your health and life.

children with developmental disabilities, including assisting patients in
specialized and school based programs. Our company is a member of the American
Physical Therapy Association, MII Center for Post Graduate Study of the Spine,
National Strength and Conditioning Association and several other professional
organizations.
Summit Strength Physical Therapy provides consultation to many local athletic
groups, health clubs, and corporations. We have also assisted injured performing
artists from Starlight Theatre Co. and other venues.
Aftercare
At Summit Strength Physical Therapy, we understand that one of the integral
pieces to successful rehabilitation is following through with a sound exercise
program. That is one of the reasons we encourage all of our patients to return
to our facility on their off-days from therapy to complete their rehab program.
We also know that another cornerstone in maintaining long term improvements made
in therapy is a commitment to a long term exercise program.
That is why we invite our patients to continue to come back and use our facility
to continue their recovery 1-2 months after discharge at no charge. If accessing
our clinic is convenient and would facilitate future improvement, Summit
Strength also offers a membership to our facility for a nominal fee. Our
patients are welcome to access our resources anytime during normal business
hours without an appointment.

They ask patients questions about symptoms, movement, and functional problems
they have. With repeated movement testing and positioning, symptoms are
monitored, and mechanical assessment is made. Based on the response of symptoms
and movement, a mechanical strategy is created for the patient that consists of
home exercise, positioning, therapist techniques, modalities and posturing.
